Three persons were arrested yesterday in connection with the killing of a tea vendor in Chattogram city on November 28.

Among them, Rab arrested Rubel Baidya, 31, and Raju Nath, 38, while police held Md Monir, 38.

A knife and a motorcycle were seized from their possession, said Rab-7 Media Officer RAM Mozaffar Hossen. "They were later handed over to Kotwali Police Station."

"So far, four of the five accused have been arrested in connection with the murder, while police are trying to track down the other accused," said Abdul Karim, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station.

Earlier, tea vendor Ismail Hossen, 33, was stabbed by unidentified assailants in Lal Dighi area near the police station on November 28. Ismail died at Chattogram Medical College Hospital.

His wife later filed a murder case with the police station.
