SSC, equivalent results to be published on August 10

The results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations 2026 will be published simultaneously across Bangladesh on August 10, the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee announced today.

In a press release issued today, the committee said the results would be released nationwide on the same day.

It said detailed instructions on how students will be able to access their results will be announced through a separate notice later.

The announcement was made in a press release signed by Prof Syed Akhtaruzzaman, president of the committee and chairman of the Dhaka Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.

A total of 1,857,344 candidates from 30,666 educational institutions registered for the examinations under 11 education boards. The examinations were held at 3,885 centres across the country.

Of the candidates, 1,418,318 sat the SSC examinations under the nine general education boards, 303,286 sat the Dakhil examinations under the Madrasah Education Board, and 134,660 sat the SSC (Vocational) examinations under the Technical Education Board.

The examinations began on April 21. The written tests continued until May 20, while the practical examinations were held from June 7 to 14.

Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon announced on June 8 that the results would be published on July 20 and instructed the education boards to complete the necessary preparations by then.

However, the boards failed to meet the deadline. Prof Syed Akhtaruzzaman, president of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, earlier told The Daily Star that the results could not be prepared within the stipulated time due to several factors, including recent unrest.

The boards had initially expected to complete the process by July 28 or 29, after which the education ministry was to fix the publication date.
