Southern Medical College organised its first International Scientific Conference, titled "SMCH Summit 2025", yesterday with the participation of researchers from home and abroad.
Professor Dr Omar Faruk Yusuf, vice-chancellor of Chattogram Medical University, was the chief guest at the inaugural session held on the college campus in port city and Professor Dr Nazmul Hossain, director general of the Directorate of Medical Education, was the special guest.
The daylong conference featured presentations of around 61 research papers covering medical education, curriculum, information technology, basic medical sciences, and other specialised fields like medicine, surgery, gynaecology, paediatrics, hepatology, cardiology, ophthalmology, public health, and microbiology.
